ONCE AGAIN, WE ARE SO GRATEFUL TO YOU: OUR DONORS! 2024 WAS ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR!
2024, one of the hottest in recorded history, made the necessity of grassroots efforts in the environmental space all the more visible, and was a packed time for all of us here at Nature’s Negotiators. Thank you for being a part of history and doing what you can to help our Earth! Read on for what your donations, social media support, and actions helped to fund and accomplish in 2024!

HERE’S WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED! MAKING SOME WAVES....
In a fishy turn of events, we found ourselves once again aligned with ocean conservation and have been honored to be a part of the Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary journey. Throughout the year, thanks to your donations and support, we have been able to help spread the word via social media, adding pressure to the Designation committees and offering information about the wildlife and essential ecosystems that will be protected by the Sanctuary.

NATURE’S NEGOTIATORS IS EXCITED TO CELEBRATE HISTORY IN THE MAKING AS THE FIRST TRIBALLY-NOMINATED MARINE SANCTUARY IN U.S. HISTORY CELEBRATES ITS OFFICIAL DESIGNATION ON INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ DAY!
We applaud Violet Sage Walker, Chairwoman of the Northern Chumash Tribal Council, NOAA, the White House, and a plethora of partners across tribes, nonprofits, and governmental organizations for their nearly 40-year efforts, which finally culminated in the designation of the Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary!!
Tribal Chairwoman Walker stated that by “integrating traditional practices and knowledge with federal processes, the Sanctuary will protect… a wide variety of wildlife, including many at-risk species, such as snowy plovers, southern sea otters, leatherback sea turtles, black abalone, and blue whales, and ancestral waters of several Tribes from along the Central California Coast."
WHERE ARE WE GOING NOW?
OUR ANNUAL EARTH DAY SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN
As you may have noticed, Earth Day is a pretty big deal here at Nature’s Negotiators! Our incredible Social Media Ambassadors never fail to bring awareness to their followings, and this year we want to focus that attention on the Film/TV Industry that many of us work in. The Industry has the potential to be a leading example of sustainable practices and environmental conservation. We hope to help shift the tide towards more Eco-Friendly practices on sets by supporting initiatives that make that accessible and palatable! See you on April 22nd with much more on this!
SITTING A-ROUND A TABLE
On that note of advocating for sustainability in the Film/TV Industry, this year we are looking to host informational sessions on Eco-Friendly production practices including curated discussions between leading minds on the topic. This will hopefully garner pledges from top Studios to implement said practices, which we will celebrate and share in earnest on Earth Day!
FUN-DRAISING
In the upcoming year, we are planning on consolidating a fundraising push into one, big, exciting event in partnership with the Northern Chumash Tribal Council. The goal? To honor our original mission - placing lands into conservation easements held in trust by tribal entities. The best part? The Northern Chumash Tribal Council has plans to do just that! And you won’t believe it...it’s likely to be fishy again...this time purchasing riverfront and restoring it to protect the endangered Steelhead! Look out for details about the extravaganza to come soon!
WE’RE ON THE ROAD TO HEALING!
In partnership with Hammersaw Productions, we are excited to announce that we will be producing a new comedic web series for YouTube. Starring many of our Social Media Ambassadors, along with Clare and Max, a percentage of all profits from the project will go directly to Nature’s Negotiators!
